What is The Watcher Season 1 about?
The Watcher follows the Brannock family moving into the Westfield suburban area after making a valiant financial effort. 657 Boulevard certainly seems like a dream home to the family of four. But things soon start to take a turn for the worse. If their weird neighbors weren’t enough, they start getting threatening letters from someone calling themselves “the watcher”. It certainly seems that whosoever is behind the letters means harm to them and will use violence without hesitation. Dean and Nora, the adult Brannocks, get the life shaken out of them as they struggle to make sense of what to do next. Their personal lives are a shambles and Dean’s professional life suffers too, creating friction between the two and leaving a cancer-inflicted jazz musician turned private detective to figure out the mystery behind the watcher and the house. Has The Watcher been renewed for season 2?
The Watcher has officially been renewed for season 2! Chances are, despite its heroic performance on the viewership charts, Netflix’s hands are tied. Because the series is based on a real story, it cannot proceed further if there isn’t more of the story to tell. Of course, it can make a detour and reinvent season 2 as “loosely inspired by true events”. Given the reaction to the ending, it would seem that Netflix are hoping to quell some of those doubters and reeling them in for another explosive season of mystery and drama.

Absolutely no details are known yet, however we could guess that the show will air next year around the end of October or November 2023.
