Balancing a great balance of humour with drama and tense moments, this soapy Korean drama is really stepping it up during the second-half of its mammoth 100 episode run. The Water Monster Episode 6 of Bulgasal: Immortal Souls begins with Sang-Un and Hwal agreeing to an uneasy alliance. The story has progressed smoothly during its 8 episodes with plenty of fresh new legends to add to the lore and some decent acting from the main cast. The season 3 finale of Sabrina starts with Ambrose narrating a future where the witches have lost against the pagans and Caliban is now the King of Hell....
Cleaning Up Episode 13 Taking over from My Liberation Notes, Cleaning Up is the latest K-drama to occupy that time-slot, working as a remake of the UK series of the same name. The story revolves around Eo Yong-Mi (Yum Jung-Ah), An In-Kyung (Jeon So-Min) and Maeng Soo-Ja (Kim Jae-Hwa) work as cleaning ladies at a brokerage company. Yong-Mi raises her two daughters and struggles to make a living. In-Kyung dreams of buying a food truck to run a mobile business....
Immigration Episode 3 of COBRA begins at the university as a student is questioned over the immigrants that broke in, including the escapees who raped 2 girls. One of the other immigrants tried to stop it but it was Nojus Sabonus, the Lithuanian ringleader, who orchestrated the attack. There’s a travel ban in place around the country too and in the Northumberland red zone, Collier drives through and sees waves of people making their way to the hospital relief centre, including someone strung to the lamp post with a sign around his neck; a warning for all those coming near....
Then Learn Fly Episode 3 of Cobra Kai Season 4 starts with LaRusso and Lawrence both organizing the kids into sparring sessions. Following their training last episode, they appear to be on each others’ sides and despite some unorthodox methods, do well to teach the Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do ways. During dinner that night, Daniel puts a surprising amount of pressure on Sam. He looks at her as his star pupil and jokes about her taking over the dealership or getting into the top colleges....
Surprisingly Well Balanced Dramedy The crazy thing about Crazy About Her is just how well the movie balances its comedy and drama. For every laugh out loud moment is an equally tense and surprisingly thought provoking segment, showing the very difficult and heartbreaking reality of mental illness. It’s just a shame that the movie is shackled to a generic romcom plot because if this had a stronger anchor, it could quite easily be a real dark horse gem of 2021....
