If You Wish Upon Me Episode 12 If You Wish upon me is the latest midweek K-drama, combining drama, romance and surprising twists together. The story itself centers on a guy called Yoon Gyeo-Rye. His life has been tough, having lived at an orphanage and spending a considerable amount of time in a juvenile detention center and prison too. Struggling to have a normal life, Gyeo-Rye begins to volunteer at a hospice after a big incident in his life....

Louis’s new powers come with a heavy price though, and the introduction of child vampire Claudia sets the trio on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement. Going Home Episode 5 of Invasion Season 1 begins with Trev out in the desert. With a gun in hand, he drives back to base and begins looking around. The place is deserted and realizing he’s the only one there, grabs his knife, a gun and a picture of his wife. Heading out again, he makes his way to the comms tent to try and radio for back-up. In doing so though, Trev uncovers a document about an emergency evacuation and an unknown entity....

Contact Episode 8 of Invasion begins with Trev touching down in the UK. Loud rain almost completely muffles the dialogue but the gist of it is that he’s grounded. There are no flights out of the UK right now. The best Sergeant Harris (the guy in charge here) can do is give him a pistol and safe passage out the facility. So Trev sets out with his handgun, heading into the capital where he finds blockades in the city center....

They Are Among Us Episode 3 of Invisible City begins with more of the legend featuring Iara, who’s depicted as Camila here. Luring a man to the depths of the water, we cut forward to see Eric on the shore, very much alive after his ordeal. Sputtering and coughing, he gets back to his feet and immediately arrives back at the bar. Only, Camila isn’t there. She’s disappeared and with Eric still alive, it seems like something happened that night....

Once upon a time, he had a bright future, which involved Seul-Bi. Ironically though, since she’s left 7 years back, every time he dreams of her, bad things happen....

First appearing in 1933, Kong is back with its 8th instalment with ‘Kong: Skull Island’ that, if you can forgive some of the bad dialogue, does a good job in establishing a new universe for the inevitable Godzilla Vs Kong film already green lit for 2020. Kong is impressively recreated here with some realistic CGI and some great action scenes but its a pity the rest of the film just doesn’t have the same wow factor and stumbles to catch up to the brilliance of the visual design....

5 Minutes Earlier Episode 5 of Season 4 for La Casa De Papel begins properly inside the prison as Tokyo finds herself at Gandia’s mercy. She’s tied up and forced to listen to his calculated plan for capturing her whole group. As he gets on the tannoy and warns them he’s coming for them, Tokyo calls out and tells the group to stick together as one. Gandia however sells out Palermo and thanks him for his help so everyone can hear....

The violence is brutally depicted though and some of the scenes are genuinely cringe inducing. The acting from the talented cast is the highlight here though and Jeanne (Carole Bouquet) who plays the notorious Mantis steals the show with her bone-chilling performance....

Death Of A Fantasy is more than pop sensibilities merged with melancholy. This record, by singer/songwriter Lauren Sanderson, actually certifies a creative purpose and she doesn’t just place hollow lyrics into her poignant songs. The album is catchy, with rousing moments littered across the board. Every song connects like a puzzle; a story of rebellious tendencies. And Sanderson doesn’t hold back or sit idle. She sings about the world, the people she loves crossing the divide and leaving her on her own....

Let’s Build Humanity, Not Walls Returning again for another slice of dystopian drama, Leila returns with its second episode, picking up where the first left off, with Shalini running away and making her way through the slums with her pursuer Bhanu on her tail. In a bid to escape, she winds up in a room with caged children where she saves a little girl called Roop. She takes a liking to her as she reminds her of her daughter and promises to give Roop money if she helps her reach the highway....

Penultimate Problems Episode 5 of Little Birds begins with Hugo phoning Grant at 4am pleading for help with the gun deal. As Grant chuckles to himself, he tells Hugo to cough up the cash himself. Only, the cash advance he gave has been chewed up with Hugo’s family debts, meaning he can’t afford it. Eventually, this leads to Grant slamming the phone down. Tied up and in chains, Adham finds himself face to face with Vaney....

Trying to work as both a horror and a comedy, Little Evil’s contrasting styles is its ultimate downfall as the film spends a vast amount of time tonally confused. The premise is intriguing enough and some of the humour and horror elements are well executed but Little Evil is a film unsure of itself and ultimately fails to deliver a memorable experience by the time the credits roll. The story follows Gary (Adam Scott) who marries the love of his life Samantha (Evangeline Lilly) only to find out her son may well be the Antichrist....

Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 4 Set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the series is based (very, very loosely) on J.R.R. Tolkien’s history of Middle-earth. This series is set during the second age, during a period of relative peace. We’re tackling the forging of the Rings of Power here, along with the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron and the fall of Númenor....

Ice Ice shifts the animated perspective in Love, Death & Robots to a much more unique focal point. There’s an almost noir-feel to the lighting here, complete with hand-drawn and CGI animation melded together. Our protagonist here is Sedgewick, and he listens as his little brother Fletcher and their parents mention how he’s unmodded and needing to get better. Well, that evening Sedge heads out with his brother, meeting a group of youths playing sports and smoking....

Forgotten Birthdays & Forgotten Drama Episode 15 of Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) begins with Ga-Bin singing to Hae-Ryun outside. Instead of going to her house, she gives him a special performance. Ending the song, she sings the words “I love you,” which Hae-Ryun clings to as he heads home that evening. Meanwhile, Yu-Shin goes horse riding with A-Mi. They crack jokes before running into one of Yu-shin’s work colleagues. Yu-shin quickly lies, telling him that A-Mi is his cousin, before the pair head out for lunch together....

The Happy Ending After the obligatory break-up in the penultimate episode, the finale for Love in Contract begins with Gwang-Nam talking to Hae-Jin about Sang-Eun’s feelings. She’s bummed about the break-up, while our judge is back to his usual cold demeanour, no longer the smiley, bubbly man he turned into. He’s even cold toward his colleagues too, getting lost in his own work and sighing loudly to himself. Gwang-Nam checks up on Sang-Eun, who’s sitting in bed and not doing too well....
