Twenty Five Twenty One OST Twenty Five Twenty One has been one of the brighter K-drama offerings on Netflix and a big part of this show has been the music. Well composed and leaning into distinct 90’s vibe in terms of both boy band compositions and guitar-heavy rock tracks, it’s definitely one of the stronger compilations in 2021. With that in mind, you may be wondering what some of the songs are that have shown up in the episodes over the weeks....

Lilley shows up at the station soon after and shows them a knife that was left at the crime scene. Jeb arrives at a crime scene, where the floors are covered in blood. The detective holds back sobs when he finds that the murder victims are Mormons he knew: Brenda Lafferty and her baby daughter. As Jeb and other officers check out the scene, a blood-soaked figure approaches. It’s Brenda’s husband, Allen Lafferty, and he’s arrested on sight. Allen comes from a prominent LDS family, so Jeb wants to give him the benefit of the doubt....

Empowerment Episode 4 of Unorthodox begins in the past again with a young Esty listening to the story of Passover from her Grandfather. It’s too much for her though and she takes herself away, whispering a silent prayer while getting herself a glass of water. In the other past timeline we see Etsy getting pregnant and Yanky asking for a divorce. Due to their bedroom issues he tells her he can’t be with her anymore and this is a bitter pill for her to swallow....

Justice Following yesterday’s absent episode, Vagabond returns this week to begin concluding this action-packed tale. With another twist in the tale toward the end and some satisfying character resolutions, Vagabond looks to be setting things up for a dramatic finale to come. The episode itself begins with Woo-Ki taking the stand in court and being interviewed by Edward Park. There, he reveals the truth about John&Mark before going on to show video footage of Vice President Michael, backing up his words....

In many ways, Warrior feels like an Asian slice of the Peaky Blinders pie, with a lot of the same stylistic ticks and a similar politically driven story at its heart. Despite this, there’s enough here to make for an interesting and original series nonetheless....

Bill riles up the officers at the police station and means business, intending to stamp his authority that evening....

Psalms 116:15 Episode 7 of Warrior Nun Season 2 starts with us right in the thick of action. Lilith and Ava end up fighting, with the final plague – a sun that burns all non-believers – serving as a particularly horrific obstacle to overcome. Unfortunately the fight ends badly for our heroine, with Ava stabbed through the chest. Lilith encourages her to join Adriel and come willingly. When she refuses, Lilith decides to force her, determined to pull her Halo out herself....

William has been buying up most of the outlying area, and he’s shown a massive dam that’s being used to power numerous mainframes. William wants to reserve the entirety of this for himself, even threatening the cartel if they don’t play ball. They refuse to sell, leading William to enact Plan B....

A Painful Past After a week’s hiatus, When The Weather Is Fine returns for more characterisation and a dive into Hye-Won’s troubled past. While the rest of the episode continues to plod along at a leisurely, slow pace, the relaxing musical score and interesting characters are enough to keep you invested, even if this is quite a slow-paced Korean drama. Episode 5 of When The Weather Is Fine begins with Myeong-Joo getting off the bus where she bumps into Hye-Won, which is where the previous episode ended....

Airk is put in his place, of course, until he reveals he tried to escape and the place is guarded by monsters. Inexplicably, Airk jumps into the well, which happens to hold Kit inside....

The Break-Up Episode 12 of You Are My Spring begins with the apartment building residents continuing to theorize around Young-Do and Da-Jeong’s relationship. Well, several fantastical visions bleed through, including a couple involving Da-Jeong and Cheol-Do together! Young-Do heads into hospital and gets himself checked out. In doing so, he learns he’s got to stay in overnight. He’s overworking and making himself seriously ill. The doctor questions Young-Do’s overbearing work ethic, convinced that he should look after himself first....

Extremely Polite Yumi Episode 13 of Yumi’s Cells Season 2 starts with Yumi at home, reminiscing over Bobby’s marriage proposal. She uploads a picture to her social media, depicting the beautiful Sky and the ring on her finger. Ruby instantly sees and rings her excitedly to discuss the big news. Meanwhile, Control Z continues to try and help Woong win back Yumi, pointing out that he’s a love expert and in good hands....

Goodbye To You Episode 8 of Another Self starts this finale right off the back of that shocking ending to the last chapter. With Erdem’s boat sinking and Leyla leaving the girls behind, the fate of their lives are hanging in the balance. Of course, Ada also made a big change in her life too, finally getting rid of Selim. Do Leyla and Erdem survive? Sevgi receives a call from the police, sending her and Fiko racing to the station....

Less horror and more cat and mouse chase thriller Holy Ghost Road is less horror and more cat and mouse chase thriller, haunted by pacing problems. It’s a tale that could have been much better than the sum of its parts and ends up getting stuck in somewhat of a repetitive rut. While the latter chapters do go some way to remedy that, with a quicker pace and some exciting set pieces, the journey there does require a good deal of patience....
